3 Summers of lincoln
3 Summers of lincoln
3 Summers of Lincoln begins in the summer of 1862 during the Civil War, which has been raging for more than a year. President Abraham Lincoln searches for a way to end the bloody conflict, and crosses paths with one of his loudest and fiercest critics, the powerful abolitionist Frederick Douglass. In three conversations over three years, their tumultuous disagreements develop into respect, and even friendship. This gripping new musical blends gospel, R&B, powerhouse anthems, and a Broadway sensibility to tell the inspirational story of one of the most important and unlikely friendships in our nation's history.
